Praise in the Park

Praise in the Park

Gatherings

  • Praise in the Park: Sunday: 12pm
  • Our gatherings are short. They last on average 40 minutes in duration and are streamed on to our Facebook page.

  • Gatherings are always by the bandstand in the middle of Carr Bank Park and Tuesdays and Thursdays are at the teahouse in the Manor Stables, at the top of the park
  • Plans for the future include a Christmas nativity with real donkeys to give free donkey rides, a childrens choir and hot dogs.

Hopefully we will be able to give all the children a present. We do not have a Father Christmas rather we have a King who not only gives presents to Jesus but all the children as well.

More information to follow. We also will be having a church holiday/retreat together near Ely in Holy Week. We are looking to have a baptism event in the Park next year, we missed on the good weather this year!

If you would like to support our church, please contact Helen by email, the link is on the contact page.

Above all we ask you to pray for our on going mission.

We invite you to join us at Praise in the Park

Praise in the Park is every Sunday at 12pm.

Praise in the Park, Mansfield

As Jacob in Genesis: 28 declares the outdoors to be the temple or house of God so we believe that the park is also the temple or place of God.

We are a small group of believers who wish to spread joy, raise a smile and uplift the hearts of people passing by. We sing, we laugh, we praise, we preach, and we make joyful mistakes that people see as entertaining but genuine. We have been blessed by the Lord as more and more people engage either in person or on-line to worship with us.

We are here to offer spiritual, pastoral, and emotional support for all who need it and we welcome everyone with a smile.

Created because of Covid we come from many denominations and none and we all love Jesus, working with any health guidelines, we wish to provide an opportunity to share the message of love and hope.

Praise in the Park started life with 7 of its founding members meeting for simple worship, praise, and fellowship at Carr Bank Park in Mansfield.

Based on the early church in "Acts", Praise in the Park has grown. We have been blessed by the Lord as more and more people engage either in person or on-line to worship with us.

Praise in the Park Free church mission is to fulfil the Great Commission, in a simple, inclusive, open supportive way, following the example of the early church in the beginning of Acts and Jesus teaching.

As a group we are not professional clergy and do not ask for any money. We do however like to support the homeless and welcome donations of food. Have a look online or better still come down to the park and enjoy fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a welcoming uplifting community.

All Glory to God! Amen.

Covid Advice

There are currently no covid regulations affecting Praise in the Park gatherings, however we do ask people to be sensitive to space as some of our regulars are in high risk categories.

Praise in the Park gatherings will continue to be outdoors providing a worship time that is as covid safe as possible.
